Less than 48 hours in Sweden.

I started the countdown weeks ago and finally I was about to go home to Sweden. And you know when you want something so much it of course has to be taken away from you. That is exactly what happened to me. Last Friday I was about to travel home. I never sleep before a flight but all of the sudden I felt very sleepy and since my flight wasn't until 9:35 the next morning I thought I could sleep a few hours. I woke up a few hours later feeling really relaxed and then I looked at the clock......9:00!!!!!

At first I started laughing because I thought it was a joke but no it was just reality slapping me in the face. Once I realised that I had overslept I freaked out because this was my one and only chance to get back home. My dear friend Helena ran across Griffith Halls of Residence to help me find a solution. The solution was a ticket for€900 which I could definitely not afford. Bye bye beloved Gothenburg.

And then it happened. from nowhere came the second solution. Helena, who lives in Stockholm, was travelling home on Saturday and I found a seat at the same flight. Since I live in Gothenburg and I had to book a train ticket as well. Not only did I miss out on my flight but now I had to buy two extra tickets.

The next morning my mom started calling me from 7am and the flight wasn't until 10:55am. Of course I woke up, I mean how could anyone be stupid enough to miss a flight? Ha ha.

The flight was of course a bit delayed. "Ryan air, the on-time airline". The person who came up with that quote is going down down down. Anyways, we made it to Stockholm but the nightmare was still not over. Now we had to make it to the train station within an hour and the train station is located about an hour away from the airport. Stress, stress & STRESS.

We arrived at the train station at 16:09pm and the train would leave at 16:10pm and I had already lost my hopes about getting home. But then in all the darkness came the sun, the train was delayed and I made it. 4 hours later I was home in beloved Gothenburg thanks to Helena, the one and only sunshine.
